From the Douro to streetwear: the Papa Figos bird inspires a limited-edition collection created in partnership with DREWM.
The nature of the Douro meets urban design in an unprecedented collaboration between Papa Figos and DREWM. The result is a limited-edition capsule collection that brings the wine brand’s identity into the world of streetwear, featuring the iconic Papa Figos bird as the centerpiece.

After recently unveiling its new visual identity, Papa Figos takes another step in building its creative universe by teaming up with DREWM, a Portuguese brand known for its bird-inspired collections and minimalist, contemporary aesthetic. What unites them is a clear vision: to celebrate nature through contemporary design that invites freedom and a rediscovery of details.

Designed by artist Álvaro Domingues, the collection consists of a T-shirt and two sweatshirts and breaks away from conventional merchandise. Instead of reproducing the brand’s logo, it captures the essence of the bird through a pixelated graphic style inspired by its colors, shapes, and textures, creating pieces that are understated yet easily recognizable to those familiar with the Papa Figos universe.

This approach stemmed from a desire to create something unexpected for the communities of both brands. The Oriolus oriolus, the small migratory bird that gives Papa Figos its name and identity, is deconstructed into geometric blocks that reveal only fragments of its identity, in a visual game that invites you to discover the bird in the details.

The collection was unveiled for the first time during Chefs on Fire in Cascais, which took place on September 19 and 20. Papa Figos was an official partner of the festival, outfitting the brand’s entire team throughout the event.

The pieces are now available for purchase online on the DREWM website. The collaboration will be rounded out with a surprise piece, currently in the final stages of development, which will be revealed by the end of the year, in time for the holiday season.
