One year after its launch, Papa Figos Rosé is the value leader in the DOC Douro rosé wine category in the off-trade channel and in the region-designated rosé segment, with an average price above 5 euros.
First launched in 2022, Papa Figos Rosé became available in the off-trade channel only this year, following the release of the second vintage of this fresh, elegant, and aromatic wine. This extraordinary performance, revealed by recent Nielsen* data, pertains to the first half of 2023.
According to Raquel Seabra, Executive Director of Sogrape, “It is with great satisfaction that we see these excellent results for Papa Figos Rosé, a recent addition to our portfolio that achieved enormous success right from the start and led to the decision to expand into the off-trade channel this year.” She also emphasizes that “we are operating in a segment with strong brands and fierce competition, so achieving this leadership position fills us with pride and motivates us to do more and do better.”
It is worth noting that Papa Figos is also the still wine brand with the greatest brand power among all the brands studied, having moved up one position compared to July 2022*. This growth can be attributed to growing brand recognition and its ability to maintain a strong connection with consumers.
Papa Figos Rosé is a fresh and elegant wine with a lively and intense aroma, featuring notes of ripe red fruits and subtle floral hints. It is ideal as an aperitif or to pair with this summer’s dishes.
