Papa Figos Rosé 2022 hits the market just in time to enjoy the warmer weather with all its freshness and refinement. The new vintage emerges as a true sensory treasure, embodying the rarity and beauty of the migratory bird from which it takes its name.
With an extremely attractive pale salmon color, combining the structure of the male (red) and the lightness of the female (white), the new Papa Figos Rosé is the result of a meticulous winemaking process that blends innovation and tradition, while celebrating the nature and biodiversity of the Douro through the Papa Figos pair—so typical of the region—featured on the label.
Luís Sottomayor, the winemaker in charge, states: “With the delicacy and freshness typical of rosé wines, this new vintage of Papa Figos Rosé reflects the quality of the red grapes from the Douro Superior. It is a fresh, elegant, and very well-balanced wine.”
With an intense, slightly floral aroma and notes of fresh white and red fruits, the rich flavors of Papa Figos Rosé are smooth and harmonious. With refreshing acidity and a very elegant finish, this wine is ideal for serving as an aperitif or pairing with light dishes, such as cold salads, as well as grilled fish, sushi, or a vegetable quiche.
