Summer is synonymous with vacations, time spent outdoors with family and friends, celebration, and honoring traditions. Inspired by Portuguese culture, Ferreira presents a special packaging edition titled “Trajes de Portugal,” paying homage to the iconic traditional costumes of Minho, the Douro Coast, and Nazaré.

Through illustrations depicting the traditional garments worn by women during cultural festivities in these three Portuguese regions, Ferreira celebrates these authentic symbols that so beautifully preserve local traditions. Examples include the abundant use of gold in the costumes of the North and the seven-layered skirts from Nazaré that women wore to count the waves of the sea while waiting for their fishermen husbands and sons to return to shore.
“Trajes de Portugal” thus serves to remind us of a very significant part of Portuguese cultural tradition—traditional costumes—helping to preserve memories of them and introducing them to younger generations.
Committed to the deepest values of “Portuguese identity,” Ferreira celebrates origin, tradition, quality, authenticity, and Portuguese craftsmanship. This philosophy translates into wines that are already a staple in Portuguese homes, during family visits, on evenings spent reminiscing about times gone by, and as gifts for friends reuniting.
Available in the Ferreira Ruby, White, and Tawny varieties, this special summer edition is already on store shelves nationwide.
